Over the past two years, Anita & Bob Dygert-Gearheart developed the Wake Up World: A Comprehensive Curriculum On The Climate Crisis for Faith And Community Groups. In this gathering, Jim Little facilitates the group through the second of these sessions (Where Are We Now and How Did We Get Here?) to introduce them to the materials and engage in a discussion for how we might all be part of helping the world wake up to the climate crisis and take action.

Here are the learning objectives from the second class:

Participants will continue to develop a common climate language.
Participants will begin to develop a basic understanding of the current science regarding the climate crisis.
Participants will see connections between the Industrial Revolution and the current climate crisis.
Participants will review the essentials of life and the church’s mandate for creation care.
Participants will become familiar with the concept of climate science denial.
